Heurisco was founded as a Limited Company in 1996 by Bill Carpenter. The Company was closed in 2017 when Bill and his wife joined the Christian Community at Lee Abbey in North Devon. Having spent just over three years there, heading up the Conference Team, leading and sponsoring a variety of projects, contributing to strategic leadership and leading on Health and Safety, Bill is now back in the training and consultancy world as a sole trader. His management consultancy, training and development portfolio has been developed through training and first-hand experience in project and operational management and delivered to a wide variety of private and public sector organisations.
He has worked with clients in the UK, Western and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the Far East and USA.
Sectors served include engineering, construction, IT, legal, education, retail, manufacturing, finance, health, pharmaceutical, oil & gas, transport, local and national government, housing and entertainment.
The name Heurisco is derived from the Greek ευρισκω which means: to find out for oneself, to discover, to learn from experience, to devise as feasible (ie Is it achievable? Is it worth achieving?).
